Solo parent doing her best to support her child. Forced to move house due to domestic violent situation, meaning the child had to move schools. The move created huge burden of costs on mother; new uniform for child, utility disconnection and connection fees, window furnishings to keep warmth in with cooler weather etc. Distressful situation taking it's toll on mum's mental health, needing to find energy to navigate all the changes for her and her child. Many medical appointments needed to help them get back on track, but now living away from public transport hub and mum doesn't drive so much added complexity for her. She's motivated to get through this, re-train and get back to working school hours. A kind soul who wants to maximise the opportunity this new start affords them, but the costs are weighing on her at the moment.
