Donate items

Before you donate, please check to see if your items are requested on the GIVIT List.

If you have quality (new, or as new) items that you would like to donate, please complete the form.  We ask that you only donate items that you would be proud to give to your own family and close friends.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not transport items.

Unfortunately our team cannot pick up your donations. We match your items (virtually) to our registered charities, & they will always co-ordinate the exchange with you.

The item details (including your suburb & delivery options) will be visible to charities via GIVIT's Virtual Warehouse.  A charity, who has a client in need of your item can then "take" the item.

Your name and contact details will be emailed to the charity (and vice-versa) to arrange for collection or delivery to the charity.  The charity will then pass your donation directly to the end recipient.

Please click here to see what types of items are acceptable to charities.  Charities are unable to accept baby items (prams, cots, walkers) that do not conform with current Australian Safety Standards.

Please be specific about the number or goods (eg 6 cups) and sizes of items you donate, especially bed linen and the sizes of white goods.  These small details are important to a homeless person or a family who may not have much space.

We request that, where possible, you consider dropping off small donations to the charities.  This is often a very enjoyable experience for our donors.

Note: It can take up to a few weeks to match and co-ordinate donations, so if you require your donation to be picked up urgently (by a charity) we ask you to take this into consideration before submitting.
