139 Club

139 Club Inc provides a range of Day Services, Welfare Services, Family Support Services, Visiting Services and Community Development Initiatives to 300+ clients that access our service each day.  The 139 Club Inc is a significant provider of social support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness within the inner city and inner north Brisbane area.

Ability Care is a non for profit Disability organization in the Logan area that relies heavily on the donations and good will of the community. Ability Care supports people with a disability from ages 0-65 years and our alternate aim is to assist each and every one of them to “Reach their potential”.

BABI Youth & Family Service

BABI Youth & Family Service is a Not for Profit Organisation specialising in the delivery of a range of services targeted at young people, and their families, in the Wynnum Ward and Redlands. BABI’s mission is ‘to promote an environment in which young people can grow and participate successfully in the life of their community’.

 

Bravehearts

Bravehearts is Australia's only children's charity holistically dedicated to the issue of child sexual assault. We offer comprehensive counselling and education for children and young people plus parental support for non-offending family members, and advocacy for adult survivors. Bravehearts also invests in extensive training and research developing strategies better able to combat child sexual assault.

Brisbane Youth Service

(BYS) is a community-based organisation that works with homeless or at-risk young people aged 12-25 years. Our comprehensive services range across several levels of immediacy and intensity from basic needs such as food and showers through to intensive personal support. Our organisation consists of volunteers, specialised youth workers, doctors, nurses and mental health workers amongst others in order to assist homeless and at-risk youth in any way, shape or form.

Centacare Brisbane

Strengthening families, supporting people and communities for more than 50 years in the spirit of the Gospel. For more than 50 years Centacare Brisbane has been the social services arm of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Brisbane working in partnership with various levels of government and the community. A workforce of more than 3000, including volunteers, responds to local needs from over 200 small service sites throughout southeast Queensland touching the lives of more than 100,000 people each year.

 

Footprints

Footprints in Brisbane is a not for profit, community based organisation providing support for older people, people with disabilities, their carers, people with mental illness, people who are homeless and those who are financially and socially disadvantaged. Footprints symbolises people walking beside one another and offering support where needed to achieve individual goals.

Hannah's Foundation provides a support network for families and friends of those who have lost thier loved ones through drowning or suffered a water caused injury. This is the only registered charitable institution in Australia for drowning prevention, awareness and family support.

Outback Links

Outback Links is a program run by Frontier Services, the largest provider of aged and community care, remote children’s services, pastoral care and family support across remote areas of Australia.
Volunteers provide hands-on assistance for individuals and families who need a helping hand for a short period of time. By linking volunteers with people who genuinely need practical help, Outback Links aims to reduce isolation and disadvantage in remote Australia.

Ozcare ia a not-for-profit organisation providing a wide-range of quality healthcare and human services across Queensland. These services are available to all members of the community. Across Queensland, 2,400 Ozcare staff deliver services to the aged, infirm, disabled and disadvantaged.

Sandlewood Projects

Sandlewood Projects is a community based organisation run by volunteers, committed to improving the quality of lives of our less fortunate community members. We help people by providing them with items necessary for setting up when they leave crisis care and enter their own accommodation. We are able to help referred clients with basic start up kits for their homes when they leave crisis care.

The Downs & West Community Support

DWCS a ministry supported by the Sisters of Charity of Australia, offers encouragement and practical assistance to our neighbours in rural and remote Queensland who are severely affected by climatic changes or family matters beyond their control. We are motivated by a sense of responsibility to provide compassionate care and to share our resources as far as possible. The DWCS is a non-for-profit programme and is funded by the people for the people.

Upper Room

Upper Room Ministries is a non-profit Crisis Care Service, providing assistance to people in need in Brisbane. We help families and individuals effected by unemployment, financial difficulties and domestic volience situations, providing household goods when they are starting over. Our Mission Statement is "Give immediate assistance in crisis situations that will bring hope of a new beginning for low income families and people who's lives have been impacted by unfortunate circumstances.

 

Youth Emergency Services

Youth Emergency Services (YES) is one of Brisbane’s leading specialist youth homelessness services, providing individually tailored programs to 15 to 25 year olds. YES was established in 1978 as a community response to youth homelessness and continues to be an innovative local, independent, non-denominational, community based not for profit. YES is a niche provider that understands that the provision of accommodation is merely the vehicle that allows an opportunity to help build a young person’s capacity, reconnecting them to a supportive community and intervene in the cycle of chronic homelessness.

Young Parents Program Inc. (YPP) provides support for young pregnant and parenting women who are first pregnant aged 19 or under, up young parents to the age of 23. This includes a Childbirth Education group, Young Mums groups and individual support

ZigZag

Zig Zag Young Women's Resource Centre Inc. incorporates a range of services for young women in the wider Brisbane region including:

  • Supported medium-term housing service for young women aged 16 - 25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Counselling and support to young women aged between 12 and 25 years who have experienced sexual assault or abuse at some stage in their lives.
  • A resource library for any young woman accessing the service.
