Young person wanting to expand hobbies and improve mental health
This Young person is aged 19 and currently experiencing homeless. They are being supported temporarily in a transitional supported accommodation through a homelessness service. They have experienced long term homelessness over the last few years including sleeping rough, couch surfing and staying in almost 10 youth refuges. Homelessness was as a result of family breakdown and violence.
The young person is unemployed and also without any form of income as they are a New Zealand citizen and not eligible for Centrelink. They have been looking for work but struggling due to their mental health. Something they have identified that helps their mental health is playing their PlayStation 4 and reading. This request is for any assistance for PlayStation 4 Games, books or vouchers to get these.
