Aunty requiring financial support to care for 2 toddlers recently been placed into her care for unknown amount of time.
2 young children have recently been removed from the mother's care by the department, due to ongoing mental health and drug use. The 2 young children (aged 1 and 3) have been placed into the care of a paternal aunty who is struggling to provide basic care needs for the children whilst it is unclear how long she is needing to provide care for.
Aunty has made applications to support services for funding/financial help, however due to there not being any statutory orders in place, services have been reluctant to offer temporary support.
Aunty currently has 2 small children of her own and has been forced to cease employment temporarily until there is a further indication of what is happening for her sister and the children moving forward.
Mum is unable to provide any financial stability to her children or family at this time.
It is also one of the children's 1st birthday's on the weekend and the Aunty is trying to put together a small party to celebrate for her.
