2020 was a year full of challenges and change, and many people are finding themselves having to start fresh.

GIVIT has been working with a number of organisations supporting mental health patients, foster children, people affected by domestic and family violence as well as people displaced by the Black Summer Bushfires and Covid-19. 

Accommodate a Mate is an initiative to help people settle in. It can include providing items including bedding and toys, or whitegoods, toiletries and kitchen utensils.

COVID-19 donations needed Victoria

COVID-19: Urgent calls for Personal Protective Equipment in Victoria

GIVIT is calling for generous Australians, businesses and organisations to support Victorian frontline organisations during COVID-19 outbreaks. The immediate and urgent need for GIVIT-registered charities across Victoria are face masks and hand sanitiser, from community groups to homeless shelters and mental health services.

Tools provided for East Gippsland bushfire recovery

More than 300 homes and/or sheds were lost during the devastating summer bushfires in East Gippsland, Victoria. Now, for many residents, there’s a mammoth task of cleaning up and rebuilding ahead. But with sheds, tools and equipment destroyed in the fires, tool kits are needed to help them get started.
