You can help vulnerable Canberrans to get through their quarantine periods
Donations of colouring books, fitness equipment, yoga mats, magazines, laptops, tablets and board games are urgently requested
As Australia's capital grapples with a COVID outbreak, scores of Canberrans are in quarantine or isolation after testing positive to the virus, or being identified as a close contact.
Many of the people quarantining are from disadvantaged backgrounds, or are experiencing financial hardship. These families and individuals are doing it tough. They have limited access to supplies, items and devices to keep them engaged, connected and active.
You can click here to see the list of what's needed by vulnerable people, families and kids in quarantine. Some of the requested items are shown below. If you would like to donate money, the dollar value in brackets shows how much one of these items costs. You can donate money by looking for the FUND button.
- Drawing / sketchpads ($7)
- Children's colouring books ($5)
- Adult colouring books ($20)
- Coloured pencils ($6)
- Puzzles and games ($20)
- Magazines ($10)
- Fitness resistance band kits ($20)
- Yoga mats ($20)
- Soccer balls ($20)
- Tablets ($250)
- Laptops ($400)
- Mobile phones ($180)

100% of the money received by GIVIT for this project will be used to purchase essential items for vulnerable Canberrans to look after their physical and mental health whilst quarantining. To donate money, simply look for the FUND button next to each request, which will allow you to donate the exact amount of money needed to buy the item.
