Toiletries for vulnerable indigenous youth
You can help improve the lives of indigenous youth in the Wadeye community, by providing them with the toiletry donations they are often in desperate need of.
Toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, feminine hygiene products, body wash and soap have all been identified as items these youth sometimes go without.
A wonderful organisation in Wadeye is hoping to change this.
The organisation is aiming to improve the lives of Indigenous people of the Thamarrur region in the Northern Territory through identifying and developing its future leaders. In Wadeye, they design programs that are locally lead as a way to develop the skills, provide support and recreational activities to the youth of Wadeye.
Your kind donations will go a long way towards supporting these programs, and helping the wonderful kids of this community.
This is Thamarrurr Youth Centre and Rec Hall. Soil and grass seeds have just been laid, so local are pretty pumped about having some lawn out the front enclosed in the new fence.
This is the main street which is just behind the Thamarrurr Youth Centre.
