Mix of essential items

Hervey Bay, Queensland

Simple items will help make a big difference this Christmas

Christmas can be a tough time for many families with added financial and emotional pressures.

A community organisation in Hervey Bay is asking for donations, to help vulnerable residents at risk of homelessness get through the Christmas period. Below is a full list of what's needed.

The organisation is currently supporting more than 20 families with children of various ages, as well as numerous single males and females. They help people sustain and maintain their tenancies, despite recent challenges and setbacks. For many families who have become at risk of homelessness, it is due to change of personal circumstances and or loss of employment, domestic and family violence, financial difficulties, low income and those who have had a relationship breakdown.

Unfortunately the housing market in this community is also extremely tight (0.02% vacancy rate) with families and individuals facing homelessness on a daily basis.

These added stressors, at an already difficult time of year, can become too much. We need your help to get the essential items these people need, and remove some of the financial pressures this Christmas.

We have incredible impact when we GIVIT Together.
