Young refugee student requires laptop to support academic growth and social connectedness
A young refugee who arrived in Australia a few years ago requires a laptop to continue advancing academically and to maintain social connections. The young person experienced a devastating loss last year with the death of his mother. The 7 siblings are now in the care of their auntie and have limited access to finances and resources. Despite the hardship experienced, he has continued to advance academically in school and is currently completing mainstream year 10 and will undertake ATAR subjects in year 11 and 12 to gain an university admission ranking.
