Stranded international student who has lost employment due to Covid -19
Student arrived in Australia at the beginning of the year, shortly before COVID-19 lockdown restrictions came into place. Although they quickly gained casual employment in hospitality, it was short lived and they have been without any income since early March so have rapidly used their savings on living expenses. They are using an old Macbook for their studies, which is failing and needs to be upgraded desperately as they have found out the operating system can no longer be upgraded. As a result they are unable to use the programs required on the Macbook for their studies.
