Refugee single mother with 2 children. She does not have any belongings apart from clothing.

The single mother is a refuge whom escaped South Africa with a toddler under a protection Visa. This very strong women arrived in Brisbane and meet a man whom she fathered her second baby with, he is an unsuitable partner whom displayed unpredictable behaviour from poor mental health.

This young family moved to Canberra to be with a friend , a fellow refugee, whom encouraged her to move to Canberra for a better life. This arrangement has been sustainable (just) for 1 year although COVID-19 changed her circumstances and the overcrowded home from 2 families living in a 3 bedroom home quickly became unbearable.
