Laptops for Community groups members
Hi, I manage a community centre and provide in kind and funding support for over 170 members of our local university association. For the past 13 years, this association has been hosting and facilitating computer classes for older and vulnerable members of the Boonah and Fassifern Communities. The computer classes rely on dedicated volunteers providing support and guidance to both beginners and advanced attendees. However, the computers they currently use are over 7 years old and are in desperate need of upgrading. The organisation offers people an opportunity to learn computer skills in a friendly atmosphere and often those attending form close social friendships and improved well being. New computers to enhance digital skills in older people would be so wonderful.
