Aged client who lost his home in Goongerah and relocated to Orbost
This client has Parkinsons disease and lived alone with his two dogs in Goongerah, he stayed to defend his home despite being on a walking stick but was unsuccessful. Luckily his neighbours found him and his dogs safe and he has since found somewhere to live in nearby Orbost. He is now being connected to in-home aged care services however his community of the last decades is over an hour away. His old neighbours still drive down once a week to do his shopping and get his fridge stocked but they are struggling with space to store enough items to get him through the week.
