Assistance to families who are homeless or are at risk of homeslessness. We have 57 houses/units in our accommodation.

Our organisation provides intensive practical support to familes who have dependant children in their care ,who are homeless or in housing crisis. We currently have 57 families in our crisis and longer term housing. We have seen over 300 families for intake since July.
The majority of these familes have mutiple complex issues including Domestic and Family Violence, mental health issues & addiction and relatinship breakdowns, that have led them to be homeless.
For many of our clients, we are a last resort when they have exhausted other mainstream options and have fallen through other safety nets.
Townsville is facing an increasingly hard rental market due to COVID and the floods. Many of our clients are paying 30% or more in rents or living in motels paying $600 -$700 a week. This is not sustainable.
With only 4 weeks until Christmas workers are desperatley trying to find avenues to provide even basic things for our families over the Christmas season.
