The best, quickest and most effective and practical way to help people Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and people in need is to donate money. You can give to GIVIT's First Nations Support Appeal, and we'll use your donation to provide exactly what's needed to someone experiencing hardship. Or you can select a request from the list above and FUND it directly.
Not only do financial donations allow support to be provided to someone in need quickly; it also allows Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing hardship to choose the item that meets their needs, providing them with dignity, independence and self-determination.
You can also donate items, services or volunteer your time by choosing a request in the list above.
GIVIT has over 4,700 registered support organisations around Australia. Many of these are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations or Aboriginal Corporations, and many other support organisations work with First Nations Australians in need. Staff from these organisations know exactly what the people they're supporting need. This means your generous donation turns into effective, genuine, much-needed assistance
Since 2020, GIVIT has worked with more than 1,100 organisations by providing items or services on behalf of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people they're supporting.

To register with GIVIT, click here to enter the name of your organisation to check it isn't already registered. Or click here if you know your organisation isn't registered with GIVIT yet.
Your organisation must be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, or the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations, and your reporting must be up to date. You'll also need to supply details for referees who can confirm your role within the organisation and the type of work you do.
Once your registration is approve, you'll then be able to request donations of items, services and vouchers on behalf of your clients. You'll also be able to access GIVIT's online warehouse to see donated items on offer around Australia.
