Armidale Neighbourhood Centre

The Armidale Neighbourhood Centre is a not-for-profit, incorporated association which provides a range of services, programs & support to community members living in the Walcha, Uralla, Armidale & Guyra regions.

We strive to provide positive experiences & outcomes for all community members who engage with us including those who are socio-economically disadvantaged & those identifying with vulnerabilities due to various factors impacting their lives.

ARROS works with young people with an intellectual or cognitive disability who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The team’s outreach activities aim to help young people access safe, affordable and integrated accommodation; rebuild and strengthen existing relationships as well as develop new ones; and participate in communities, and develop the capacity of those communities to support them.

Art From The Margins (WMQ)

Art from the Margins (AFTM), a creative initiative of Wesley Mission Queensland aims to empower artists living with mental health issues, physical or intellectual disabilities or those experiencing homelessness
and social isolation by giving a pathway to enrichment, personal growth and professional development through creative practice.
We hold workshops and have artists exhibit and sell their work through the gallery space.

Asperger Services Australia

Asperger Services Australia (ASA) is a volunteer organisation established in 1995, supporting families and individuals with Asperger's Syndrome. Maintains several support groups including an adult support group and a women's support group.

*Peer groups - for Teens, Teen girls, Young Adults, Adults, Women, Partners, Parents and Carers and Dungeons and Dragons. Recently due to moving to online Zoom sessions, our parent groups have expanded and are now nationwide.
*Education and Training - We run training and workshops to train teachers and employers about specific Asperger autistics and other similar neurodivergent needs and the benefits of neurodiversity.

Aspleycare

Emergency Relief Centre based at Aspley helping disadvantaged clients from the northside of Brisbane with food parcels, fuel vouchers, etc. Open Monday - Friday from 10 am -
1.30 pm. Manned by volunteers.
Aspleycare provides Christmas hampers to 100+ families.

Assisting Your Life To Achieve (AYLA Inc.)

AYLA Inc Assisting Your Life To Achieve is a not for profit (NFP) charity that has been operating locally in the Cockburn area since 2015.
AYLA Inc’s main aim is to fill the gaps in service provision within our local community. AYLA Inc currently has a low cost food centre and emergency food bank which distributes up to 3 tonnes of food a week, NFP Café using 50% of rescued food products to produce fresh meals, Op shop, registered NDIS service and mental health support. We are aiming to launch the first WA NFP hair salon in December with all profits going back to our projects and community programs.
Through this huge growth of AYLA Inc, we are now recognised and known for assisting the community in ways main stream organisations cannot due to their funding limitations and criteria.

Association for Inclusive Supports

We provide a service called Uni Life to young neurodivergent adults with intellectual impairment and profound communication issues to give them an experience of Higher Education. Based at Queensland TAFE, Logan and Bracken Ridge campus, the participants attend with a support worker two days a week.
They enjoy learning some new concepts, doing a lecture on current affairs and entertainment news, exercise, therapies, and socialising with students.
Participants benefit from having a fun experience, making friends and identifying as tertiary students.
