Arising Indigenous Community Development Aid Inc

The small grass roots organization is run by two aboriginal elders who assist their community from Tweed Heads to Grafton.
The service assists:
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
Adults - aged 25 to under 65
Adults - aged 65 and over
Families
Females
Males
People at risk of homelessness/ people experiencing homelessness
People in rural/regional/remote communities
Victims of crime (including family violence)
Youth - 15 to under 25
They assist their local community heal and connect with culture and stay out of the statutory child protection system.

Arlparra Family Learning Centre

Arlparra FLC supports very remote Indigenous families as first teachers of their children. Early childhood educators support families to provide enriched childcare and developmental games for children 0-5 in a culturally appropriate setting.

Armajun Aboriginal Health Service

Provide primary health care, health education, allied health and referral pathways to over 2,000 Aboriginal clients which covers the areas of Inverell, Glen Innes, Tenterfield, Ashford, Tingha, Guyra, Armidale, Uralla & Walcha.

Armidale Neighbourhood Centre

The Armidale Neighbourhood Centre is a not-for-profit, incorporated association which provides a range of services, programs & support to community members living in the Walcha, Uralla, Armidale & Guyra regions.

We strive to provide positive experiences & outcomes for all community members who engage with us including those who are socio-economically disadvantaged & those identifying with vulnerabilities due to various factors impacting their lives.
We promote resilience by providing support & development assistance & advocate on behalf of those with less ’voice’ in the community. We have a drop-in space with tea|coffee, computer | internet hub and provide information, referral, advocacy & meeting spaces for after-hours groups.

Programs include Emergency Relief, EAPA assistance & the Work Development Order program. Our accredited No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) provides access to finances community members may not otherwise be eligible for through mainstream banks

ARROS

ARROS works with young people with an intellectual or cognitive disability who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The team’s outreach activities aim to help young people access safe, affordable and integrated accommodation; rebuild and strengthen existing relationships as well as develop new ones; and participate in communities, and develop the capacity of those communities to support them.

Art From The Margins (WMQ)

Art from the Margins (AFTM), a creative initiative of Wesley Mission Queensland aims to empower artists living with mental health issues, physical or intellectual disabilities or those experiencing homelessness
and social isolation by giving a pathway to enrichment, personal growth and professional development through creative practice.
We hold workshops and have artists exhibit and sell their work through the gallery space.

Art of the Minds Inc

Art of the Minds aims to activate, educate and engage the Surf Coast and wider community to creatively manage mental health and wellbeing.

Our festival message throughout October and coinciding with National Mental Health Month, is aimed at reducing stigma and normalising the experience of mental illness across all ages and demographics of the population.



Art of the Minds is passionate about sharing resilience-focused messages by reinforcing through creative education platforms, that Hope is central to the recovery of all mental wellbeing challenges.

Arts Northern Rivers Inc

As the peak arts body, Arts Northern Rivers works with individuals, organisations and government to generate, promote and advocate for the arts and creative industries in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. Arts Northern Rivers is supported by Create NSW and local Governments in our region who work with us to ensure access to arts and cultural activity for everyone.
The Northern Rivers is home to the highest concentration of arts and creative industries practitioners outside of metropolitan centres and we recognise the enormous contribution they make to the cultural, economic and social wellbeing of the Northern Rivers (and to the nation!)
We are committed to supporting the visibility, viability and vibrancy of this incredible region. To achieve this we deliver an annual program of skills and professional development workshops, a dedicated strategy for supporting and sustaining Indigenous art and culture and offering support and advice for individuals in our region.

Aruma is a disability organization, the trusted partner of around 5000 people with a disability throughout the east coast of Australia. Aruma provides various services particularly for the people with disability.

Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Australia

At this community centre we provide structured programs such as sports, yoga class, free Sunday lunch service, multicultural events. We encourage everyone to participate in Sunday activity particularly those from disadvantage area such as newly migrants, youths, senior citizens. We provide assistance to people suffering domestic violence, isolation and mental issues. At this centre we promote community cohesion as different cultural groups attend to this centre, get together and understand each other and work as group.

ASeTTS

Association for Services to Torture and Trauma Survivors. ASeTTS has a proud history of serving humanitarian entrants and refugees settling in WA since 1992. ASeTTS provides services to people who are humanitarian entrants or are from a refugee type background and who have experienced torture or trauma in their country of origin, during their flight to Australia, or while in detention.

Asperger Services Australia

Asperger Services Australia (ASA) is a volunteer organisation established in 1995, supporting families and individuals with Asperger's Syndrome. Maintains several support groups including an adult support group and a women's support group.

Aspergers Victoria

For 30 years, Aspergers Victoria Incorporated (AV) has provided a wide range of community inclusion services to support Aspergers-from kids to adults, parents/carers, professionals and employers - to connect, share stories and advice, gain employment, discover their strengths and empower them to thrive including:
*Peer groups - for Teens, Teen girls, Young Adults, Adults, Women, Partners, Parents and Carers and Dungeons and Dragons. These Groups allow Aspergers and their families to catch up with peers who ‘get them’ and learn about themselves. Recently due to moving to online Zoom sessions, our parent groups have expanded and are now nationwide.
*Education and Training - We run training and workshops to train teachers and employers about specific Asperger autistics and other similar neurodivergent needs and the benefits of neurodiversity.
*Community Education and Workshops - to build capabilities.
*Help / Information portal and email service.
*Employment Coaching - support getting and keeping a job.

Aspleycare

Emergency Relief Centre based at Aspley helping disadvantaged clients from the northside of Brisbane with food parcels, fuel vouchers, etc. Open Monday - Friday from 10 am -
1.30 pm. Manned by volunteers.
Aspleycare provides Christmas hampers to 100+ families.

Assisting Your Life To Achieve (AYLA Inc.)

AYLA Inc Assisting Your Life To Achieve is a not for profit (NFP) charity that has been operating locally in the Cockburn area since 2015.
AYLA Inc’s main aim is to fill the gaps in service provision within our local community. AYLA Inc currently has a low cost food centre and emergency food bank which distributes up to 3 tonnes of food a week, NFP Café using 50% of rescued food products to produce fresh meals, Op shop, registered NDIS service and mental health support. We are aiming to launch the first WA NFP hair salon in December with all profits going back to our projects and community programs.
Through this huge growth of AYLA Inc, we are now recognised and known for assisting the community in ways main stream organisations cannot due to their funding limitations and criteria.

Association for Inclusive Supports

We provide a service called Uni Life to young neurodivergent adults with intellectual impairment and profound communication issues to give them an experience of Higher Education. Based at Queensland TAFE, Logan and Bracken Ridge campus, the participants attend with a support worker two days a week.
They enjoy learning some new concepts, doing a lecture on current affairs and entertainment news, exercise, therapies, and socialising with students.
Participants benefit from having a fun experience, making friends and identifying as tertiary students.
