Argyle Housing - Common Ground Canberra
This unique housing initiative provides supportive and sustainable housing to low income earners and those who have experienced homelessness. As tenancy and project managers for the recently completed Common Ground Canberra, Argyle Housing has not only had the privilege of seeing the project through from ground up but also of welcoming in all the new tenants.
Located in the heart of Gungahlin, close to services, transport and shops, the site comprises of 40 x 1-bedroom units. There are also expansive internal and external common areas available for all tenants to use whenever they like – such as the communal open plan kitchen, computer work stations, entertainment room, art room, large communal veggie gardens and BBQ area. Along with Argyle, Northside Community Services are available onsite to provide that extra support to tenants.

Arise Women Support Association Inc (AWSA), is a South Sudanese group that aims to provide empowering programs in core areas of education, capacity building, social wellbeing and professional development to women. To facilitate social connections and reduce isolation and stress per needs identified for all ages. AWSA facilitates education and social activities that promotes knowledge and connections with the broader communities. We work closely with members to encourage, support and provide opportunities for women to address their self-development and wellbeing in order to become participating citizens and community role models.
Most women with limited English and computer illiteracy they cannot get employment or access online services. Especially with the current COVID-19 environment many have received misleading information that have impacted on their mental health. AWSA circulated audio information through WhatsApp and helped members learn how to use Zoom for connections.

Gallery 4017, another Artrageous experience, promotes emerging artists with a new exhibition every month.
