Client is single mum of three school aged children who are currently unable to attend school consistently due to significant transport barriers. The family currently does not have access to a car, the nearest school is too far for the children to walk, and public transport is not a viable option. Due to the mothers on going mental health struggles daily coordination with travel is extremely difficult resulting in school absenteeism impacting on the children learning, wellbeing and social development. Despite the challenges the mother is highly motivated to support the children's education journey and express a strong commitment to improving their attendance. To address the transport barrier in a sustainable, affordable and practical way we believe funding three bikes for the children to travel to and from school independently would be the best option.
