40 year old male recently housed after experiencing long term homelessness after a workplace accident caused him to lose his financial stability/income. This individual required extensive medical treatment and surgeries following the accident and rotated between temporary accommodation and rough sleeping during these recovery periods. He was also rough sleeping during the recent cyclone and lost many of his belongings due to water damage. This individual also grew up in the foster care system and has experienced complex trauma and mental health throughout the course of his life, however he is ready to start a new chapter and rebuild his life with his new home.
