13 year old Aboriginal male participating in youth program (justice reinvestment initiative). From inconsistent school attendance and some interaction with justice system, to engaging positively and well with youth program and has a goal to complete Y8 at school.
Family requires support at home with essentials as well as household items/products regularly. Single mother of 13yo also has other small children she cares for. Washing machine is essential to any household, and currently this busy household does not have one. The young person is engaged positively in the program, interacting well and respectfully with staff Elders and Mentors. Supporting the young people in their home environment, leads to a more stable young person and allows them the space to grow and fulfil their potential.
