This woman is a devoted mother and grandmother, with family being the cornerstone of her life. After six challenging years of homelessness, she was fortunate to secure social housing 18 months ago. Tragically, she is also a survivor of a severe domestic violence assault that left her with a metal plate in her skull. Despite this, she has shown incredible strength and determination.
Since gaining stable housing, she has maintained 12 months of sobriety, overcoming hurdles along the way. Recently, her medical team discovered a cancerous lump on her lungs, and treatment options are currently being explored. Undeterred, she has taken on the role of primary carer for her teenage daughter, who now lives with her.
Her resilience is inspiring, and she is now pursuing a nursing degree to further her education and career. A laptop would be instrumental in supporting her studies and creating forward momentum in her journey. However, finances are currently tight making this purchase challenging.
