Our organisation is currently supporting an 18-year-old, who has escaped domestic violence perpetrated by their family to get back onto their feet and gain independence.
We have supported the young person to obtain their learners and get identification documents, but the young person has no support networks to gain driving hours due to being very isolated and having no familial supports. The young person and the family they are staying with are also experiencing economic hardship and are unable to afford driving lessons
The young person requires 10 hours of logbook hours so they can be referred to a service who can support them in gaining the rest of their hours. Seeking support by way of 4 x professional driving lessons so that he can be referred for further support.
