An older single gentleman who has been homeless for over 10 months, living in a gazebo, has finally secured private rental. My client no longer has any furniture to fill up a unit, but his needs are simple, as he was able to secure a furnished flat. However, there is no vacuum cleaner or coffee table, which he likes to use when he sits on his lounge. For the first time my client feels as though he can breathe, as he is no longer struggling to live with his two dogs in a gazebo, however he has used up any funds that he had to get into this unit. My client has weathered cyclone Alfred in March this year and the extreme heat whilst living in the gazebo and is still positive for his future and being given a second chance.
