A resilient family of six, overcoming past trauma, homelessness, and illness, are seeking desperate support
A father, his four children, and their stepmother are in urgent need as they begin a new chapter after experiencing homelessness. For the past year, they’ve lived between motels and relatives' homes. The children have faced significant trauma due to past harm caused by their biological mother, deeply impacting their emotional and mental wellbeing. Their stepmother, a cancer survivor now in remission, is suffering from alopecia due to stress. Both she and the father were previously FIFO workers and have never accessed support services before. They’ve stepped up to provide a safe, loving home and have recently been accepted into our housing program. However, they have no furniture or white goods—just air mattresses and an Esky. Any support to help them turn this house into a home would mean the world.
