Support for a mum with disability caring for 2 teen boys and needing support with some essentials
We support young people, parents, and families with cognitive disabilities to build capabilities to live independently and keep family together. We provide wrap around services for parents and families who may fleeing violence, experiencing homelessness and economic hardship.
We are seeking a laptop for this mum who would like to participate in Adult Literacy classes and due to covid-19 restriction classes can not always be run face-to-face. Helping participates with access to technology allows them to maintain an engagement with their current Adult Literacy class, delivered by a familiar teacher, maintain learning confidence, stay connected with relationships and establish community connection when classes need to move to an online model.
Mum is also needing financial support throughout the school holidays to assist with caring for two hungry teenage boys. Mum has multiple dv concerns in her life and because of complex trauma struggles to manage challenging decision making.
