Elderly lady needs her gutters and drains cleaned to help protect her house during future rain events
This lady is eligible for a grant from Community Recovery to repair or replace her essential services and also to repair her roof leaks that have resulted from the flood in February last year.
She desperately needs her gutters and drains cleaned but her house is lowset at the front and highset at the back, so she is unable to do it herself. She doesn't have the money to be able to pay to have it done professionally.
We have engaged a Tradesman to repair the roof leaks and he has included in his quote $330 to do a full gutter clean which includes flushing the gutters and downpipes.
Preventative maintenance is unable to be covered by our grants. It would be more economical to have the gutters cleaned while the roofer is onsite repairing the roof leaks, and it would provide this lady with great peace of mind with the weather the way it is at the moment.
