Lovely older lady socially isolated, living with multiple challenges requires tablet device
This lovely older lady lives alone and is socially isolated due to having no other family, and significantly limited social support. She lives with the daily challenge of multiple physical and chronic health and mental issues, has had numerous operations, and is on a Disability Support Pension.
During COVID pandemic and following 2 separate storm events in 2021, this lady has been impacted both psychologically, and financially and continues to experience financial hardship as she awaits resolution of insurance claims to repair damage to her property and is required to spend a large portion of her pension on groceries, fuel and treatments as she attends several medical and therapy appointments weekly to improve her health. Being so isolated this lady relies heavily on the internet and her ipad to access and connect with support services effectively, however her current device has been compromised and no longer functions properly, which has created significant barriers to her recovery
