Children and their families fleeing Domestic and Family abuse

Based in the remote community of Wadeye, our organization provides crisis accommodation and support for women and their families fleeing family and domestic violence.

Due to the nature of domestic violence, these women often come to our service with no access to clean clothes other than what they are wearing, no hygiene products, and the children have no access to their toys and books.

Due to the remote location of Wadeye; a 5.5 hour drive on unsealed roads for those with a car, or an expensive flight into Darwin, it is extremely difficult for community members to access the resources they need.

With your help, we endeavor to provide these women and children with the resources and support they need to thrive.

Body wash/soap

We require ongoing supplies of body wash to be utilized by families fleeing domestic violence to reestablish themselves when they leave the crisis service.
Being able to provide basic items for their return home helps with the reintegration process and ensures the dignity of these individual is protected.

Hygiene is extremely important to ensuring women's dignity is maintained and a sense of self respect is protected.
