Help for those in dire need this Christmas.
There are many families with many different circumstances in need of extra support, and some days children come to school without lunch or snacks or without having eaten breakfast or going home to no dinner or a dinner they prepare themselves which could even be toast. We have single parents, parents with addiction and mental and physical illnesses and we have students who have also lost a parent or the single income earner in the family. With the shortage challenges due to Covid and the increase on fuel and food prices, there are many families struggling silently and children whom we are seeing go without. School holidays and Christmas time add extra pressure to these already struggling families.
