This client has fled from significant domestic violence and had been sleeping outdoors in parks for approx 8 years.
This client arrived at the Womens Refuge with 6 broken ribs, a head injury and an alcohol dependency approximately 5 months ago. She has had numerous traumatic events in her life and little to no family support. She is the mother of 5 children and two have tragically passed away. She has used the time here in the refuge to build up her health and dramatically reduce her alcohol intake. She has also reunited with one her daughters, who is now living with her in the refuge and attending a local school. This is the first time that our client has had her daughter living with her since her daughters birth.
She has been successful in securing a rental property, which will her first ever home of her own. She needs support to furnish this property for her and her daughter as she has almost no belongings.
