Support vulnerable kids in Kwinana to feel connected and belong.

Children in Kwinana face some of the toughest educational challenges in Perth, with the worst outcomes for starting school ready to learn. The latest Australian Early Development Census reveals that one in three Kwinana children begin school vulnerable in at least one developmental domain, with one in six struggling in multiple areas. They rank among the top 10 most vulnerable nationwide. The wait for Child Development Services exceeds two years, meaning many children are in Year Two or Three before receiving crucial support. This delay affects self-esteem, attendance, friendships, and academic success, perpetuating cycles of disadvantage. Our program aims to break these barriers, offering targeted weekly sessions that provide timely interventions, enhancing school readiness and building a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

School uniform shirt

For vulnerable children, a sense of connection and belonging can transform their entire learning experience. We are seeking support to provide every child in our program with a t-shirt that serves as their uniform. This simple gesture has powerful benefits:

It fosters a sense of unity, helping children feel connected to their peers and creating a strong bond with the program.
It gives families a dedicated shirt for messy play, protecting children's everyday clothes and easing the financial strain.
With your help, we can make these children feel seen, valued, and part of something special.
