Single mum with 2 girls had traumatic rescue in Feb floods. Finally found a place to live, needing everything.
This single mum woke in the middle of the night and walked through flood water up to her thighs to wake her 6year old and 12 year old daughter. They had to wait for hours to be resuced, holding on in flood water They were taken to the emergency flood recovery centre where they stayed and have spent most of this year moving around from family/friends houses to live, all three of them in one bedroom. They lost everything in the flood.
