Seeking support for a young person with disability who has fled family violence interstate to rebuild their life in QLD
Our organisation is currently supporting a 17-yr-old Aboriginal female, who had been living in crisis accommodation interstate to escape family violence and then relocated to Queensland to start afresh.
We have supported the young person to transfer her licence to Queensland and get an exemption from her logbook hours, due to the driving experience she had interstate and her personal circumstances, so she is now able to sit her provisional test in Queensland as of next week. Seeking support by way of driving lessons so that she can familiarise herself with Queensland roads and test route before she sits the provisional test, to increase confidence and likelihood of passing.
