The Client is a 65 year old woman who was rendered homeless by the Lismore floods. Client lost all of her possessions as a result of the floods. Living in temporary flood village accommodation since the floods. She has just now been offered a social Housing Unit by DCJ housing. Client previously lost all of her furniture in the flood leaving her with nothing to furnish her new unit.
Client has significant history of trauma and loss. Client has impressed Case Worker with her resilience and future focussed attitude to recovery. Client richly deserves support to set herself up in permanent accommodation after 2 years of flood induced homelessness.
