Remote Aboriginal women and children fleeing domestic violence. Needing essentials and toys for children
Based in the remote community of Wadeye, our organisation provides crisis accommodation and support for women and their families fleeing family and domestic violence.
Due to the nature of domestic violence, these women often come to our service with no access to clean clothes other than what they are wearing, no hygiene products, and the children have no access to their toys and books.
Due to the remote location of Wadeye; a 5.5 hour drive on unsealed roads for those with a car, or an expensive flight into Darwin, it is extremely difficult for community members to access the resources they need.
With your help, we endeavor to provide these women and children with the resources and support they need to thrive.
