Elderly woman on the aged pension impacted by recent rain event in the Laidley area. Whilst this event was not declared a disaster, it had a significant impact on those affected. As a result of the rain event occurring at early hours of the morning, she was unable to move her belonging from under the house to higher ground. As a result her washing machine and whipper snipper was damaged due to the flooding.
