Woman living with disability in need of new Samsung phone
Woman in her 50s living with intellectual disability, epilepsy, limited mobility, and mental illness. She is currently living alone and wishes to maintain her independence for as long as possible. She receives daily support, however this is only provided for up to four hours each day. She currently uses a budget Samsung phone, however she has discovered that the functionality of this phone is limited. Her primary concerns are that the phone is unable to support her internet banking app, and (primarily) that she is unable to enable a voice-activated app such as Bixby on this phone. Last year she had a fall and was uninjured but unable to get up from the floor. Her phone was outside of her reach and she remained in this position until a worker arrived. She is fearful that this will happen again. She is not able to utilise other fall alert devices due to her mental health and anxiety around this. She hopes that if she learns to operate Bixby she will feel and be safer at home.
