Primary producers seeing practical support to recover from NSW Bushfires 2019/2020 and move forward with their small business
This family of 4 stayed behind to fight the fires in their remote town. Although they saved their house, it has been structurally damaged as the fires came in between the ceiling. They lost their water supply, tank and pipes. Their 4 sheds are now leaking and the fires affected the farm machinery and tractors stored in there. As a result their business have suffered as they have not had the working farm machinery. This was their first year as primary producers and they lost all their cattle and horses in the fires.
COVID has greatly impacted regional areas and businesses. It has slowed down supplies, increased costs and reduced available people to work.
