Washing machine - 5-7kg

Indigenous male experiencing multiple challenges.

I have a participant who is an Australian Aboriginal and has recently injured his foot and is incapacitated due to the extent of the damage. I assisted him with his washing at the laundromat which he has been attempting to do himself and puts him at risk of further damage to his foot. This lovely gentleman has complex mental health concerns and this activity is causing additional stress to his life. I spoke to him about whether he felt having a washing machine at home would assist him. He smiled and replied, "definitely, have you seen my foot?" My participant is a gentle and kind man that would not ever ask for anything and yet he was so happy to consent for me to try and attain a washing machine for him. It would be wonderful to give him an item that would simplify daily living for him and to demonstrate to him that he matters, something he battles each and every day.
