Family need community help to start healing
Mum and four children have survived two decades of domestic and family violence and sexual abuse perpetrated against the women in the family.
There is so much healing yet to come.
They have a place to call home right now, though this could soon be taken as the perpetrator stole hundreds of thousands from the families mortgage leaving Mum and children with nothing.
The family hold onto hope.
We are trying to help the healing by asking skilled community members to help fix or cover up (paint) damages left by the perpetrator in violent rages that serve as a remind to the children.
They've asked for help in this so they can try to feel safe in their own home once again.
We will also be requesting bedding, mattresses and bed frames to replace any reminders of the abuse that took place in the home.
Due to the ongoing safety of the family any offers of support will be vetted to ensure no further traumatisation.
