Flood impacted family fighting to get back on their feet needs a hand up to overcome disadvantage
An already disadvantaged family of three in Victoria's north have been severely flood impacted. Many of their possessions were destroyed including the tools required for one of the occupants jobs which supported the family livelihood. As a result they are suffering from acute financial stress and varying degrees of depression. One of the adult residents is working in a complex caregiving capacity locally while trying to support the rest of the family. A younger family member has complex disabilities and lost much of his equipment required for everyday living, The families loss of income means these items are now irreplaceable by private means. There has been no reprieve from bills, rent and cost of living as they try to re-establish themselves in order to regain their financial footing, They have stressed that they require a hand up as opposed to a hand out and would 'pay it forward' at any opportunity once back on their feet. They would be grateful for any assistance.
