Defibrillator for vulnerable community members

Our organisation aims to create a fair, inclusive, creative and sustainable community. We work with diverse groups including families, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people facing homelessness, migrants and refugees, people with disabilities and women re-entering the workforce.

Our community has seen many natural disasters in the last 12 months on top of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Many vulnerable people have sort help from the community centre following the flooding in our local area. Nambour is surrounded by several beautiful creeks and rivers that are quick to flash flood and have long term flooding implications to community. Many of these water ways flood caravan parks, homes and cars. Disasters like these can cause high stress levels and impact the health and wellbeing of our vulnerable community members. Our centre gives ongoing support to those who had been affected and help build community to becoming more resilient following these events.
