Elderly carer needing help following NSW floods.
Lady in her late 60's and her mobile home and belongings were damaged or destroyed in the NSW floods. She is a full-time carer for her friend who also lives in a caravan on her property. The friend has Cellulitis and struggles to walk without considerable pain.
Although she is back living in her mobile home, it is very damp and mouldy. She is now suffering with respiratory problems and her GP says that the damp and mould are major contributors to this condition.
Both she and her friend are pensioners and have no current means of transport. Being unable to get out and about is taking a toll on their health and wellbeing as they begin to feel more and more isolated.
She would benefit enormously from having a dehumidifier and if possible, a mobility scooter would make a huge difference in their lives.
