Position description

Your varied work week will see you focused on areas of greatest need across Victoria. Building relationships with councils, charities and community organisations, and facilitating donations of goods and services to meet community need. You’ll be a key member of GIVIT's Victorian Emergency Recovery team ensuring all donated offers of goods and services are managed effectively to meet genuine need after natural disasters/emergencies.

Applications close COB Monday 12 December 2022. This is a home-based role with the candidate living in Victoria and willing to travel across Victoria as required. The position is full-time until June 2023 with the potential opportunity to extend for a further 2 years.

Openings at GIVIT don't come around too often, so if you're looking for a positive, supportive team to support you in making a genuine impact every day to people in need in the ACT, then this is the role for you!

Your varied work week will see you raising GIVIT's profile in the ACT, building relationships with government agencies, charities, and corporate and community donors, and facilitating donated goods and funding to meet disaster recovery and charity needs.

Reporting to GIVIT's National Manager based in Brisbane, you will support the ACT NoWaste initiative, while delivering our Deed of Grant contractual obligations with the Australian Capital Territory Government, ensuring you meet all agreed contractual service level agreements including key performance measures and all reporting obligations.

Working with a level of autonomy, you will enjoy coordinating partnerships with charities and community organisations across the ACT to build their capacity and meet the needs of their clients. Your relationship building skills will see you identify opportunities for ensuring the sustainability of GIVIT services in the ACT.

This role is the face of GIVIT in the ACT, providing content to our national marketing team and representing GIVIT in a variety of settings, including media opportunities, public forums, events and conferences.
