Graphic Designer

Are you a highly experienced Graphic Designer, with a passion for storytelling through design, photography and videography? Do you want to take the GIVIT brand to the next level visually while also making a real difference to the lives of Australians in need? 

GIVIT, one of Australia’s most innovative not-for-profits, is seeking a talented and senior Graphic Designer to lead the visual identity of our brand. You will produce high quality, compelling designs that showcase our impactful work and inspire generosity.  

About the role:

This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid and flexible arrangements (part-time considered for the right applicant), offering the chance to drive the creative vision across all channels – digital, social, web, email, print – from concept to execution. You’ll lead projects, execute high-impact designs and elevate the GIVIT brand visually. You’ll also capture and produce photos and videos that bring our stories to life, supporting marketing campaigns and donor communications.

What we're looking for:

You are a design specialist first, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and can take the lead in shaping a brand’s visual identity. You are highly organised, collaborative, and excited by the opportunity to influence how GIVIT communicates its mission. 

What you'll bring

  • Extensive experience in graphic design (ideally 5+ years in-house or agency, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-level design leadership). 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, with a deep understanding of brand, typography, colour, and visual storytelling. 

  • Photography and videography skills, including post-production editing, storyboarding, and shooting content that supports campaigns. 

  • Strong project management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities and stakeholders to deliver on time. 

  • A passion for community impact and translating it visually to inspire action. 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or related field.

GIVIT is seeking three passionated and skilled Board Members to help us continue to lead the way in responsible giving across Australia.

GIVIT inspires generosity to meet real need. We’re a national not-for-profit that partners with thousands of charities and organisations to ensure Australians experiencing hardship receive exactly what they need, when they need it most. 

Through our unique online donation platform, donors can give in the way that matters to them – whether that’s money, goods or time. From helping a family recover from a bushfire, to supporting a mum and her children impacted by domestic and family violence or providing essential items to a young person living with a disability – GIVIT makes giving smart, sustainable and impactful. 

 

The GIVIT Board

GIVIT is governed and supported by a dedicated volunteer skills-based Board of Directors, who play a key role in shaping GIVIT’s strategic direction, good governance, and impact. Meeting six times a year, Board members also attend sub-committee meetings or provide additional pro-bono support, as required relative to their area of expertise.

Who we're looking for

To continue strenghtening the skills and diversity of our Board, we're seeking new members with experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Finance / Accounting - a qualified accountant to oversee GIVIT's strategic financial stewardship, governance & risk management . The role will Chair the Finance & Risk Committee and work closely with the CEO and CFO. 

  • Not for Profit Sector - demonstrated experience in Not-for-Profit leadership and management at a community services-based organisation.  
  • Legal - senior legal expertise including contract law and negotiation, governance, and the ability to identify and advise on legal risks.   
  • Commercial / Corporate Governance - experience overseeing commercial strategic planning, operational performance, revenue generation & compliance.  

 

About You

Beyond professional skills, we're looking for Board Members who:
  • Align with GIVIT’s mission and values. 

  • Have previous NFP or leadership experience, with a clear understanding of legal and fiduciary duties and responsibilities. 

  • Can contribute to organisational strategy development.

  • Understand current not-for-profit governance principles. 

  • Can identify, assess and mitigate financial and organisational risks.

  • Bring excellent communication, critical thinking and collaboration skills.

  • Are proactive, positive and generous with their time and expertise for board meetings and preparatory work.

Engagement Officer - Queensland

We are seeking an Engagement Officer based in Brisbane or regional QLD.

GIVIT is recruiting a full-time permanent Engagement Officer - Queensland, reporting to the Queensland State Manager. Your varied work week will see you focused on areas of greatest need. Via face-to-face or virtual engagement, you will build relationships with councils, charities and community organisations, and facilitate donation administration of goods and services to meet community need. You’ll be a key member of GIVIT's team, effectively facilitating donations of goods and services to meet genuine community needs, particularly after natural disasters events. 

In this role you will:

  • Deliver hands-on training, workshops, and 1:1 support to local recovery staff and organisations to build their capacity to use the GIVIT platform effectively  

  • Troubleshooting platform issues and providing administrative support to process donation requests  

  • Contributing to local recovery meetings and planning groups as a GIVIT representative  

  • Coordinating with local councils, community organisations and NGOs to ensure needs are identified and met quickly  

  • Enhancing supply chain processes to support the fast provision of donated goods  

  • Promoting awareness of available support mechanisms and the GIVIT platform  

  • Maintaining strong and effective relationships with GIVIT stakeholders including state and local governments, recovery agencies, charity networks and corporate donors.  

  • Work with GIVIT's Marketing team to raise awareness of GIVIT and GIVIT's programs.  

Skills and experience you possess:

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and community engagement  

  • Excellent digital literacy and confidence in learning and teaching new platforms  

  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic and changing environment  

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities  

  • Demonstrated experience in disaster recovery, community development, or local service coordination would be highly regarded.  

Other requirements:

  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within your state 

  • National police check (or willingness to obtain at your cost)  

  • Reliable internet connection and home office setup (for hybrid/remote-based roles)
