What We Stand For

Our purpose is to match generosity to real need through an online platform

Our mission is to change the way people give by inspiring an online network of givers

Our vision is to meet society's need in an environmentally sustainable way

Our Objectives

Satisfy genuine need within the Australian community by inspiring and connecting an online network of givers in a safe and effective way.

Ensure donations do no harm to individuals, communities and the environment especially in times of disaster.

Reduce landfill by diverting tonnes of reusable items to support individuals and communities in and out of disasters.

Our Values

INTEGRITY - We always act with honesty, transparency, and accountability and respect is at the core of everything we do

COURAGE - We are agile, resourceful, embrace innovation and encourage new ways of thinking and operating

IMPACT - We are driven to make a real difference to the lives of people and communities in need

COMPASSION - We practise kindness, patience and empathy with our team, donors, organisations, and recipients

Our Reconciliation Action Plan

GIVIT's vision for reconciliation is a culture that represents equity and equality and embraces respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community.

GIVIT launched its first Reconciliation Action Plan (Reflect) in November 2021. It's centred around increasing respect for, and improving relationships with First Nations communities, and creating opportunities for future partnerships in addition to the more than 830 organisations we currently work with to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in need.

About the artwork

The artwork used on this page and in our Reconciliation Plan represents GIVIT as the tree. The hand prints are the men, women and children this organisation has helped empower in Australia in the past, present and future.

This artwork was created by Charmaine Barratt, an Aboriginal woman who has lived in the Ngunnawal community since the age of 4. She is currently a Team Leader/Support Worker at the Ngunnawal Bush Healing Farm.
