Our client is a single Aboriginal mother to four children, two of whom have additional needs. She is low income and experiencing financial hardship, often struggling to make ends meet. Our client is going to struggle even more coming into Christmas with rising cost of living and difficulties purchasing presents for her children and ensuring there is adequate food. Due to the closure of many support services over the Christmas break, including community pantries and services that offer free meals, she will not be able to access her usual support network.
