GIVIT
Single parent of 4 children under 12 years of age escaped experiences of sexual assault and family violence.
They also experienced house damage from falling trees during the Feb. 24 storms, resulting in significant gutter damage restricting rain water to fill their water tank, therefore having no access to water. Power was also cut for multiple days resulting in great difficulties while trying to care for the children.
They are unable to work due to an inability to afford day care costs for the youngest children and are experiencing extreme financial hardship. They continue to experience anxiety and mental health conditions from their family violence experience.
