UPDATE - 21/11/25: Elderly man on pension still recovering from floods in financial hardship in the lead up to Christmas.
UPDATE 17/4/25: Flood affected pensioner in his 70s suffering financial hardship. His bedlinen is mouldy as a result of Cyclone Alfred, and his oven has broken down after being refurbished following the floods in 2022 and since the cyclone power outage has caused it to no longer work.
UPDATE 24/8/23: Pensioner living on his own, in his 70's, lost belongings and his home was extremely flood damaged in Feb 2022 flood. He was uninsured, and the grant he received has been used. He has moved back in and has been without electricity, and his walls are still damaged as he has no funds to pay for it. Struggling financially, he has also recently suffered some injuries. Any help is greatly appreciated with repairing internal walls and an electrician to restore lights and power points.
