We’re reaching out on behalf of a resilient single mother and her young son, who are starting fresh after enduring years of hardship. The mother, living with complex mental health conditions, has bravely cared for her son, who is on the autism spectrum. Together, they have faced domestic violence, homelessness, and significant health challenges, along with surviving three natural disasters in five years.

During the 2022 floods, they lost nearly everything. More recently, Cyclone Alfred separated them, causing further trauma.

Now, they’ve secured safe housing — a major milestone — but their new home is unfurnished. They urgently need white goods and essential household items to begin living safely and with dignity.
